The Bear Street Tavern is our favorite restaurant in Banff! One those rare places where I don’t think you can order the wrong dish. After a long day of hiking (see C-Level Cirque), nothing satisfies like a huge plate of cheesy, salty nachos. Luckily we found pulled pork nachos on the menu, which used gouda cheese as the glue, to good effect I would say. We then ordered another appetizer, the pork belly mac & cheese, in addition to an entire pizza (wild mushrooms, pine nuts and pesto), knowing full well we would have left overs for dinner (and lunch the next day as it turned out). All of the dishes were delicious and we highly recommend a stop here.
