West Yellowstone is a bit of a culinary desert, that is why this list is so short. Honestly, your best bet is to just cook your own food if you’re here for awhile. But both of these joints are quite good and suffice in variety for a few days visit. Note that both are walkable from the Grizzly RV Park.

  • Running Bear Pancake House – It’s pancakes, how can you go wrong? I’ve never veered from the traditional pancakes and I’ve never gone wrong. Order something that requires finesse, like Eggs Benedict, at your own risk. They also offer freshly baked muffins of the day. If the flavor is yummy to us we typically take some to go for snacks.
  • Kiwis – Our favorite lunch spot in town! If you’re willing to play by the quirky owner’s rules, you’ll have a great time here. If not, you’ll likely get a ton of verbal abuse followed by being thrown out. The rules are pretty easy: just chill, it’s all going to work out in the end. Don’t rush her, don’t ask where your so-in-so you ordered 30 minutes ago is, just don’t. Whatever food you end up with will be amazing. 2016 Update: I’m very sad to report Kiwis has closed. Apparently people didn’t like being yelled at.
