We currently drive a 2015 Newmar Dutch Star towing a Jeep Wrangler

In 2012,  Karla and I set out to look at RVs, knowing only that we didn’t want a monstrous lumbering beast sucking gas faster than a 1990s software engineer downing Mountain Dew (sorry, that’s the last programmer joke, I promise). Sadly uninformed newbies that we were, attending an RV show in Fredericksburg, Virginia confirmed we wanted to avoid anything over 30’, lest the rear end go wayward on every turn, smashing into vehicles with reckless abandon…or so we thought. Who would want to drive one of those big RV’s?  Then we got serious about our search.  Flash forward to present day and we own that exact lumbering beast we strove to avoid, after succumbing to the “rule of three”. To be fair, I had read about this rule, which simply states, “you don’t end up with the RV you want until the 3rd RV”. I did not heed this advice, and indeed we are now on RV #3.
