Doniphan, NE – Finally, a campground off a major highway (I-80) in the midwest that offers big rigs plenty of space (well, in length but not width). We had no problems negotiating this campground with our 65 foot rig (45’ RV + tow). The site was plenty long and relatively level, but not very wide (our slides were within 4’ of our neighbors slides). All utilities worked well. Speaking of utilities, I’m wondering if I should start giving a separate rating for voltage stability. This campground was great. Shortly after arriving we turned on 3 ACs and both water heater elements, then turned on a toaster oven. We were pulling 40 amps on leg1 and 35 amps on leg 2 and the voltage was rock solid at 120. You may think that’s no big deal, but I’d say 25% of the RV parks we’ve visited experience voltage drops to 110 volts or less when applying large loads.

They also offer Hunts Brother Pizza delivered right to your site. A nice amenity after traveling all day. We enjoyed our stay here and 100% will return when needing a night’s rest on I-80 in Nebraska.
