Lebanon, TN – In 8 years of travel and many dozens of stays, I’ve come to realize there are two types of KOAs: those whose owners care about their campground and those whose owners do not. The Nashville East/Lebanon is the latter. This may have been a nice RV park in the distant past, but now it’s down on its luck, with piles of junk strewn about on the owners residence front porch (same building as the office) and signs of lack of maintenance everywhere you turn. Going hand-in-hand with the general lack of aesthetics are the long term residents, whose trailers look, to be very charitable, well used.

Nashville East KOA

Our site was not level side to side or front to back

The site we were assigned, #38, was very unlevel. Our leveling jacks were unable to correct for this and indicated an excess slope error. Then the voltage on the 50 AMP power connection dropped to 113 volts when amperage was applied (should never drop below 120 at a campground with clean power). The pool looked inviting, but it sits right next to I-40 and the sound of traffic is not conducive to relaxation. The only saving grace were beautiful pastoral views of the rolling fields in the nearby hills and the large trees. We would not stay here again.
