Jacksonville, FL – Ratings for this campground on RV Park Reviews have been brutal of late, with a number of 1 star reviews. I think that’s a bit unfair for what is ostensibly a nice RV park with two problems: it’s located right next to major airport and the pricing is not commensurate with the amenities. I chose to deduct one star for each. But my main criteria for an RV park are well satisfied here: wide roads, long and level sites and all utilities work well. That’s 3 stars right there.
Being located smack dab in the middle of the flight path next to Jacksonville International Airport is unfortunate. Flights begin on the dot at 6 AM and don’t end until 11 PM. The “bathroom” facilities are port-a-potties. Trash service is only 3 days a week and the wifi is worthless. All this for $60/night. I guess if I spent more than 2 nights here those negatives might subtract another star.
On an interesting note, I saw a Newell towing a Tesla Model X on a trailer, which is not something you see every day. The guy had to pay for 2 sites for everything to fit.
