Whitehorse, YT – I’m convinced this RV Park was designed by someone who doesn’t drive or use RVs. It’s the only explanation for the long distance between the sewer hookup and the water/electrical hookups. I witnessed various jury-rigging of multiple hoses and cords to span the distance. Not something you expect when paying $42/night. Also the spaces and rows are very tight for modern RVs, requiring precision driving with only inches to spare between trees. But I guess when your season is only 4 months a year it doesn’t make financial sense to upgrade the facilities.
This campground is conveniently located to explore the city of Whitehorse including the SS Klondike and the Millenium trail. We also hiked at Miles Canyon and hiked into the alpine area above Fish Lake. While the wifi at this campground did not work very well, the visitor center offers free wifi, just ask for the password at the desk. There are many food options in Whitehorse.
