Wellington, CO – This is our “home base” KOA that we use for loading, unloading and winterizing as it’s fairly close to home. It’s easy access off I-25, although the road leading to the campground is often full of potholes (which are caused by a stream of heavy trucks driving very fast on this gravel road). As a non-welcoming, the actual road into the campground is also full of potholes. We always end up in the Buffalo row as these are the largest, full-hook up, pull though sites in the campground. While they have concrete pads, they are not level at all. We’ve actually never leveled in this campground without the front tires being a few inches off the ground.
