Mount Pleasant, TX – This is not a particularly nice KOA, but it suffices for an overnight stop enroute to somewhere else. The campground roads are a mixture of broken pavement and gravel, and some of the sites have concrete pads. We ended up with probably the nicest the site in the entire place, so we didn’t have to unhook and that’s a big plus. But if that site had already been taken it would be grim for other options. Long pickup trucks sticking out into the road doesn’t help matters. You’re also close to a major highway (I-30) with easy on/off access and all the noise that entails.
