Stewart, BC – A quiet rv park nestled amongst the trees near the town of Stewart in British Columbia. We had a 30 amp full hookup pull-through site that worked perfectly for us, with plenty of room for slides and our tow car. We visited during the off season, but during the summer I could envision some logistical problems with a full park (such as pull through sites require driving through the site immediately behind you, which, if occupied, means you now have a back in site). In addition, the sewer dump is shared with your next door neighbor, meaning only one RV can dump at a time. But these are minor inconveniences and the park overall is worth your consideration. The one thing that would annoy me if I had need of them is the requirement to pay for a shower, above and beyond the price ($40/night) you’re paying for the site. $1 for 4 minutes? Really?
From here we visited the towns of Stewart, BC and Hyder, Alaska and nearby Bear Glacier, Salmon Glacier, and the Fish Creek Wildlife Viewing Platform in the Tongass National Forest.
