Tok, AK – Another generic stack em’ and rack em’ RV park. Spaces are tight, but we managed to negotiate the aisles and find a spot where the slides fit in between trees. I really don’t think a 45’ MH is fitting here without sticking out into the aisle.
Ah! 50 amp service is a lap of luxury to us weary travelers being accustomed to 30 amps for the past month. Floor heat, water heater, microwave, dryer, dishwasher — we can now run these events in parallel and not have to plan ahead. Yes, we’re spoiled, but the newer generation of electric only class A RVs really don’t run well on 30 amps.
They also offer a do-it-yourself car/RV wash here, whose need becomes readily apparent when laying eyes upon the arrival of every filthy RV from the Alaska Highway, ours included. They charge $9 for a car wash, which is a bit high, but only $28 for a 40’ MH, which is a bit low, so I guess it all works out. If you’ve never cleaned a 40’x13’x8’ box with ice cold water blasted from a pressure hose, you are clearly smarter than me.
