Terre Haute, IN – Easy on/off and close to an interstate are typically good attributes for choosing an overnight stop. The downside to being close to I-70 is noise, especially when road construction is going on all night. At the time we first stayed here  (November 19, 2013), construction was going full blast, with the lovely rumble strips to alert motorists to slow down causing an impressive amount of noise when semi trucks pass over them. And trucks of course drive at all hours of the night. We tried this again in May of 2015. Still wrapping up construction, but much less noise this time.

Putting aside the noise this campground is quite nice, with easy access and long sites (although it’s a tight fit for a 45′ class A). We would  stay here again.
